Are you a highly skilled database professional looking for a new challenge?

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to lead our database team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions.

You will work closely with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to ensure our data systems are secure, efficient, and ready for growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available database solutions (e.g., SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL)
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize database performance through indexing, query tuning, and storage management
  • Capacity Planning and Disaster Recovery: Lead database capacity planning, disaster recovery strategy, and backup/restore processes
  • Database Security: Implement and enforce database security controls including encryption, access controls, and auditing
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams to support software releases and schema changes
  • Automation: Automate routine database operations using scripting and infrastructure-as-code tools
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field: 7+ years of hands-on experience in database administration, design, and performance tuning
  • Expertise in SQL Server: Working knowledge of other RDBMS (PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL)
  • T-SQL Proficiency: Strong proficiency in T-SQL, stored procedures, and performance analysis tools
  • HA/DR Experience: Experience with HA/DR solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Log Shipping, Replication)
  • Database Security Knowledge: Solid understanding of database security, compliance (e.g., PII, PCI), and role-based access control
  • Automation Scripting: Proficient in automation scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
  • CLOUD EXPERIENCE: Experience in cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Azure SQL, AWS RDS) is a strong plus
  • Excellent Problem Solving Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team setting
  • Database Monitoring Tools: Experience with database monitoring tools (e.g., Redgate, SolarWinds) preferred
  • NoSQL Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of NoSQL systems (e.g., Cosmos DB, MongoDB, Redis) is a plus
  • Regulatory Compliance: Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the financial services industry
