Accountant Job Description">

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accountant to manage our financial operations across entities.

Responsibilities:

  1. Financial Management:
  • Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting entries, including AP, AR, GL, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with Indian accounting standards and US GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant statutory requirements.
  • Assist with GST, TDS, income tax, and ROC filings for the entity.
Global Operations Support:
  • Support transfer pricing compliance and related documentation.
  • Handle cross-border payments, FEMA compliance, and banking liaison.
  • Assist in consolidation of group accounts.
Expense Management:
  • Record, monitor, and clear all company expenses.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and budgets.
  • Handle employee reimbursements and expense reports.
Statutory Compliance:
  • Ensure compliance with Indian statutory requirements, including TDS, GST, PF, PT, and other applicable laws.
  • Prepare and file all necessary returns and reports on time.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as needed.
Import and Export Transactions:
  • Manage Bill of Entry (BOE) and ORM mapping for import and export transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant import/export regulations.
Purchase Orders (PO) and Sales Orders (SO):
  • Create and manage POs and SOs.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of all orders.
  • Coordinate with procurement and sales teams to streamline processes.
Audit & Reporting:
  • Support statutory and internal audits.
  • Assist in MIS reports for management on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain accurate records for due diligence and fundraising-related requirements.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • Professional qualification preferred: CA Inter
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Accounting and Finance. Start-up experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of Indian accounting standards. Familiarity with TDS, GST, PF, PT, and other Indian statutory requirements. Familiarity with US GAAP is a plus.
  • Skills:
  • Proficient in Zoho books and MS Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
