Import Operations Coordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to join a team as an Import Operations Coordinator where you will play a pivotal role in managing import operations and ensuring seamless execution of tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Documentation Management: Prepare Export Invoice, Packing List, BL Draft, and other related documents as required.
  • Insurance Certificate Generation: Generate Insurance Certificates through online portals and maintain sufficient insured amounts.
  • Hazardous Cargo Handling: Understand and handle hazardous cargo, including various Hazard Classes, Packing Groups, and Dangerous Goods Declarations (DGD).
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate with Factory, CHA, Forwarding Agent, Transporter, Shipping Lines, and Customers for effective communication and coordination.
  • Freight Negotiation: Negotiate Air or Sea freight with forwarders, shipping lines, or CHA.
  • Checklist Approval: Check and approve SB Checklists/BOE Checklist/AWB Draft/BL Draft, etc.
  • Flight/Vessel Booking: Coordinate with freight forwarders for flight/vessel booking.
  • Courier Shipments: Arrange courier shipments through DHL/FedEx.
  • Shipment Compliance: Stay updated on Letter of Credit (LC) Shipments and SCOMET/Narcotics requirements for every shipment.
  • Export Customer Support: Resolve queries from export customers promptly and efficiently.
  • Transport Arrangements: Arrange transport for FCL shipments and factory stuffing.
  • COO Applications: Apply for Preferential & Non-preferential COOs online.
  • Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate records for all export shipments, including EGM and RODTEP benefits.
  • Compliance Updates: Stay updated on RODTEP Scrip generation and other DGFT/ICEGATE applications.
  • Packing Arrangements: Arrange relevant packing considering shipment nature, especially for dangerous goods.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, including HS codes, tariffs, and taxes.
  • Data Reporting: Maintain accurate records and reports, including import data and compliance documents.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and efficiency.
