Job Title: Land Acquisition Specialist

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to lead our land acquisition efforts in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of renewable energy projects, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and acquire suitable land parcels for renewable energy projects considering technical feasibility, connectivity, and regulatory clearances.
  • Lead the end-to-end land acquisition process including scouting, negotiation, documentation, registration, and handover.
  • Build and manage relationships with local landowners, agents, revenue officials, district-level authorities, and government departments.
  • Conduct title due diligence and ensure legal sanctity of land through coordination with legal teams.
  • Oversee Right of Way (RoW) acquisition, mutation, land conversion, and compliance with state-specific renewable energy policies.
  • Ensure clear documentation, including agreements to sale, lease deeds, power of attorney, and land maps.
  • Monitor local land price trends, zoning regulations, and state incentives to secure cost-effective deals.
  • Supervise a field team of land officers, surveyors, and external consultants.
  • Handle conflict resolution and address any legal or community-related land acquisition issues.
