Job Opportunity: CAD Engineer

Role Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design of innovative mechanical equipment and offshore structures. The successful candidate will work closely with our engineering team to develop 3D models and 2D drawings using Solid Edge and AutoCAD.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop 3D models and 2D drawings of designs using Solid Edge and AutoCAD
  • Prepare detailed drawings and report figures as directed
  • Perform timely design changes and improvements
  • Estimate and plan for marine operation projects
  • Coordinate with engineers to align on deliverable timelines and schedules
  • Perform quality control checks on own work
  • Inform the engineering team about project planning

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in design projects in the marine/offshore/mechanical/civil steel structural industry
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, civil, offshore engineering, or naval architecture
  • Expert level knowledge in CAD software Solid Edge and AutoCAD
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and convert 2D drawings to 3D models
  • Highly organized self-starter able to prioritize work to meet changing timelines
  • Good experience in performing hand calculation & results interpretation
