Internal Control Professional

This is an exciting opportunity to join our organization as a highly skilled Internal Control Professional. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing control testing as part of the Control Monitoring Program to provide reasonable assurance that our internal controls over financial reporting are designed and operating effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform control testing to ensure the effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting, in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Audit and review business processes to identify areas for improvement and optimize operations.
  • Develop and implement internal control procedures to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address control exceptions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain accurate workpapers and documentation to support audit findings.

Qualifications & Technical Competencies Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Management or related field preferred.
  • Understanding of US GAAP, GAAS, Sarbanes-Oxley, COSO framework, and leading business practices.
  • 1 year of relevant experience, either within the Big 4 Audit Firm or in a multi-national organization.
  • Prior experience within Risk & Compliance or Internal Control role, finance experience is preferred.
  • Microsoft Office skills, primarily Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint.
  • Energetic, self-starter and strong focus on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to multi-task and demonstrate strong organization skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to an ever-changing and improving environment.
  • CPA required. Other certifications preferred (CIA, CISA, etc).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High level of customer focus and ability to maintain a positive attitude at all times.
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-directed, positive and ethical role model able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and display initiative.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor along with exercising professional skepticism at all times with suppliers, internal customers and coworkers; fully observe organizational Code of Ethical Conduct, Employee Handbook
