Key Responsibilities

  • We develop innovative recipes, dressings and toppings that meet the required standards of taste, nutrition and shelf life.
  • Chefs and nutritionists collaborate with us to create seasonal and functional menu items.
  • Sensory evaluations and trials help refine product quality by identifying areas for improvement.
  • We execute pilot runs and establish a roadmap to scale up recipes from the lab to production efficiently.

Quality Assurance and Control

  • We develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for food safety, hygiene and ingredient handling to ensure compliance.
  • Raw material specifications are monitored and vendors are held accountable for meeting these standards.
  • Routine audits and inspections are conducted across kitchen and supply chain operations to maintain quality standards.
  • We assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues promptly.
  • We coordinate smooth product rollouts while maintaining adherence to quality standards.

Nutritional Analysis and Labelling

  • We ensure accurate nutritional profiling and allergen declarations for all menu items.
  • We work with marketing and compliance teams to support transparent labelling and nutrition claims.

Process Optimization

  • We evaluate and improve production processes for consistency and efficiency.
  • Preparation methods are standardized for scalability across multiple outlets.
  • We identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve yield and optimize resources.

Documentation and Compliance

  • We maintain accurate records for product specifications, SOPs and lab test reports.
  • We ensure compliance with relevant food regulations including HACCP, GMP and ISO standards.
  • We maintain traceability documentation for all ingredients and processes.

Training and Auditing

  • We design SOPs and hygiene protocols to serve as benchmarks for quality standards.
  • We participate in internal and external audits, representing the food safety and R&D function.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2–4 years of experience in QSR, food manufacturing or culinary R&D is required.
  • Strong knowledge of ingredients and their functional properties is essential.
  • Proficiency in food lab testing for sensory evaluation and shelf-life studies is necessary.
  • Experience with HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000 and local food safety regulations is required.
  • Familiarity with nutritional analysis tools and food labelling standards is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of cold-chain logistics and handling of fresh produce is valuable.
  • Awareness of culinary trends and consumer behavior in the health food industry is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills are essential.
  • A passion for healthy eating and food innovation is desirable.
