Procurement Strategist Job Description

Job Summary

This role is responsible for procuring materials and services, while reducing overall costs by working closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Early Procurement Involvement: Participate in product development and manufacturing processes to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Early Supplier Integration: Develop and implement supplier integration strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supply chain efficiency.
  • Analysis: Conduct market research and provide market information and analyses on international technology and price trends to support procurement decisions.
  • Alignment of Technology Roadmaps: Ensure alignment between commodity strategies and technological market trends to drive business growth.
  • Strategy Alignment: Support activities planned by the lines of business to harmonize and implement technological line-of-business strategies with procurement strategies.
  • Strategy Deployment: Drive sourcing decisions with interface partners to incorporate technological know-how and safeguard security strategies.
  • Business Support: Provide support for projects in lines of business to optimize input for quotes, workshops, scope of material (BoM assessment), and realization of potential for savings in the project.
  • Supplier Management: Assess and develop suppliers from a technological standpoint to concentrate on the best suppliers.
  • Knowledge Management: Stay informed and keep others informed through participation in workgroups and projects.

Requirements:

Education - BE Electrical preferred, Proficiency in complex data analysis and interpretation, strong communication skills, and experience in procurement and supply chain management are essential.
