Procurement Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist to manage our vessel chartering activities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vessel operations, commercial acumen, and leadership skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Vessel Chartering: Manage vessel chartering activities including spot, time charter, and contract fixtures.
  • Broker Liaison: Liaise with brokers and charterers to identify and secure cargoes and employment opportunities.
  • Negotiation and Documentation: Negotiate charter party terms and oversee the preparation of post-fixture documentation.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market movements, freight indices, and competitor activities to support commercial decisions.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as operations and technical teams to ensure seamless contract execution.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze voyage results, evaluate profitability, and contribute to performance and market reporting.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive records of fixtures, voyage outcomes, and client interactions.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Shipping, Maritime Studies, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in commercial shipping or vessel chartering, with exposure to bulk carriers.

This role requires a professional with a strong commercial mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
