Job Overview

  • 1. Develop and Implement EHS Policies: Create, implement, and enforce organization-wide environmental, health, and safety policies in compliance with global and local regulations.
  • 2. Ensure Compliance and Manage Risk: Verify adherence to statutory and regulatory requirements and oversee internal and external audits, inspections, and risk assessments for a safe working environment.
  • 3. Warehouse and Logistics Safety Strategies: Establish robust warehouse safety programs and develop transportation safety protocols to minimize hazards and ensure employee well-being.
  • 4. Incident Response and Emergency Preparedness: Develop procedures for incident reporting, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action, ensuring availability of essential safety equipment and emergency preparedness kits across facilities.
  • 5. Training and Culture Development: Conduct regular EHS training and awareness programs for employees, drivers, and contract workers to foster a safety-first culture and promote best practices.
  • 6. Stakeholder Engagement and Performance Metrics: Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to integrate EHS into business processes and publish regular performance dashboards for leadership review and decision-making.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of environmental, health, and safety regulations, audits, and compliance in logistics/warehousing.
  • Experience in multi-site EHS management, including warehouses, transport fleets, and distribution centers.
  • Excellent skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, and root cause analysis.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and training facilitation abilities.
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 45001/OHSAS 18001, EMS, and sustainability practices.

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Environment, Occupational Health & Safety, or related field.
  • 15+ years of EHS experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in logistics, warehousing, or supply chain industry.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH/IOSH/Lead Auditor - ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 highly preferred.
