Job Title: Data Science Expert

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement business solutions utilizing data analysis, machine learning, and statistical methodologies.
  • Understand complex optimization techniques including linear/integer/nonlinear programming and heuristics to find optimal solutions for business problems.
  • Experience in gathering business requirements, transforming them into technical plans, processing data, feature engineering, hypothesis testing, and deploying models.
  • A proactive approach towards identifying areas for improvement and suggesting pipeline enhancements (tests, support, and improvements).
  • Establish and enforce standards to enhance competency quality.

Requirements:

  • Must Have:
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience with 2+ years in DS/Operations Research roles.
  • Proficiency in optimization methodologies and usage of various libraries (e.g., CPLEX, Gurobi, ortools, etc.).
  • Strong Python coding skills, including object-oriented programming concepts, ML libraries, and basic SQL knowledge.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies, preferably MS Azure or GCP.
  • Familiarity with theoretical foundations of machine learning concepts.
  • Experience in delivering CRISP-DM projects and Agile projects (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Skills in gathering business requirements, transforming them into technical plans, data processing, feature engineering, model evaluation, hypothesis testing, and model deployment.
  • Client-facing experience.
  • Ability to conduct independent research, gather information, and provide recommendations for diverse scope problems.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Nice to have:
  • Knowledge of other programming languages, e.g., SQL, R.
  • Experience with Spark (PySpark).
  • Background in IT roles (Data Engineer, AI Engineer, Business Intelligence-related) is welcome.
  • Understanding and experience in applying Data Science/Machine Learning methods to Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Transportation, Warehousing, Inventory, or Sustainability).
  • Strong statistical/mathematical background.
  • Experience working in matrix organizations.
