About the role:

The Business Continuity Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining comprehensive business continuity plans.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify critical functions and prioritize recovery efforts.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to create and maintain business continuity plans.
  • Test and evaluate existing continuity plans to identify weaknesses and areas for improvement.
  • Provide training and support to concerned stakeholders as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory requirements related to business continuity and disaster recovery.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of stakeholders.
  • Prioritize tasks, plan activities, and ensure timelines are met.

Requirements:

3-6 years of relevant experience.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience. Disaster Recovery Planner certification desirable.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing templates and tools to facilitate recovery planning and exercises.
  • Guiding employees to use tools and templates in designing plan development and recovery testing.
  • Assessing planning materials to verify compliance with governance.
  • Reviewing recovery plans to assess compliance with governance.
  • Coordinating and monitoring disaster recovery testing exercise events to ensure activities progress according to event plans.
  • Maintaining test schedules.
  • Responding to disasters.

Other duties may be assigned as needed.
