Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled AV Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations department, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating sophisticated audio-visual equipment at events, exhibitions, conferences, product launches, and other similar occasions.

You will work closely with senior management to receive daily allocations of duties and assignments. Initially, you will be part of a team during your apprenticeship, and in time, you will be expected to lead a team of your own typically comprising 4-8 members.

As part of your role, you will travel extensively and become familiar with flight schedules of most airlines. In due time, you will need a passport and may find yourself carrying out assignments on foreign shores as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Setting up, programming, and operating audio-visual equipment at events and exhibitions.
  • Working closely with senior management to receive daily allocations of duties and assignments.
  • Leading a team of technicians during your tenure.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will require the following skills and qualifications:

  • Self-motivation and discipline.
  • Logical thinking skills and a technical bent of mind.
  • Proficiency and comfort with English as a primary language.
  • Knowledge of programming languages is not necessary, but networking skills will be an asset.
  • Ability to work under pressure consistently and with focus.
  • Adaptability in light of unforeseen developments.
