Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our accounting team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and an eye for detail.

About the Role:
  • Perform daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting functions with precision and accuracy.
  • Manage and review journal entries into our Accounting application.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and review fund level financial statements, including the consolidated balance sheet, income statement, statement of partners' capital, schedule of investments, footnotes to financial statements, and cash flows.
  • Coordinate and prepare investor capital calls, distributions notices, and other critical documents.
  • Stay up-to-date on fund agreements and their impact on reporting requirements.
  • Provide guidance and feedback to team members to ensure high-quality work and timely delivery.
  • Anticipate, communicate, and escalate issues to Manager as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, ICWA, CA, MBA, or CPA.
  • Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in private equity or hedge fund accounting.
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and related tools.
  • Excellent attention to detail, innovative thinking, and effective communication skills.
  • Strong team player instincts with ability to see projects through to completion.
  • Superb client service skills with ability to exercise professional judgment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with various private equity legal and investment structures.
  • Familiarity with waterfall models and related concepts.
  • Experience using partnership accounting applications, such as Investran.
