Job Description

Our organization seeks a seasoned pipeline estimator to lead the preparation of accurate and competitive estimates for various oil and gas pipeline projects. This role involves collaborating closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop detailed cost estimates for pipeline projects, encompassing materials, labor, and overhead costs.
  • Lead the preparation of tenders and proposals, ensuring alignment with client requirements and covering all technical and commercial aspects.
  • Perform cost analysis and value engineering to identify opportunities for cost savings and enhance project profitability.
  • Coordinate bid preparation and submission with cross-functional teams, gathering necessary data and information.
  • Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends, material costs, and labor rates, as well as analyze competitors' bidding and costing strategies.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to clarify requirements, address queries, and ensure all aspects of the project are understood.
  • Identify potential risks and uncertainties in project estimates and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, proposals, and supporting documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Eye for detail.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
  • Experience in international and domestic projects and understanding of global procurement practices.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations relevant to oil and gas process plants.
