Cost Estimation Expert

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Cost Estimation Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cost estimation for tenders and private client proposals, with experience in site installation and procurement within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction company.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and analyze tender documents including technical specifications, drawings, BOQs, and scope of work.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, equipment, subcontracting, and overheads.
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and sales teams to gather technical information for costing purposes.
  • Send inquiries to suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotes.
  • Prepare clear comparison statements of the received quotes.
  • Assist in preparing and submitting complete and competitive tender proposals on time.
  • Work on multiple BOQs simultaneously.
  • Evaluate vendor offers and negotiate the best prices, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Attend pre-bid meetings with tendering authorities and raise technical queries as necessary.
  • Obtain approval for final cost workings.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience: A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience in cost estimation for tenders and private client proposals, site installation, and procurement experience within an engineering, manufacturing, or construction company.
  • Good knowledge of Electromechanical Supplies and installations (HVAC, STP, WTP, Boilers, Lifts, water pumps, fire pumps, solar panels etc.).
