Business Analyst Job Overview

As a Business Analyst in our consulting team, you will play a key role in driving digital transformation and data-led decision-making across the insurance value chain. This is a hands-on, consultative role that requires a structured thinker who can work seamlessly with both business and technical teams to define data and functional requirements, and support delivery through all phases of the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a deep understanding of General Insurance operations across policy administration, claims lifecycle, underwriting, billing, and regulatory reporting.
- Lead data requirement gathering for projects involving data warehouses, data lakes, and operational data stores.
- Translate business needs into structured deliverables including business requirement documents, data dictionaries, and source-to-target mappings.

Requirements:
- 5-7 years of overall experience in IT or Consulting, with a strong focus on Insurance Business Analysis and Data Modelling.
- Strong understanding of one or more of the following insurance processes: Policy Lifecycle, Claims Lifecycle, Underwriting & Risk Assessment, Commission & Distribution Management, Billing, and Regulatory Reporting.
- Proven experience with data projects, including requirement gathering, transformation logic, mapping, and validation.
- Expertise in SQL for data analysis and transformation.
- Knowledge of data warehouse, ODS, and data lake architectures.
- Exposure to Agile and Waterfall delivery models.
- Experience working on insurance core systems like Guidewire etc.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements in the insurance industry.
- Basic familiarity with data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.

- B.E.(B.Tech)/M.Tech MBA - Preferable
