We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build and maintain scalable server-side applications and APIs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design scalable, secure and high-performance backend services & APIs
  • Implement server-side logic, databases and data storage solutions
  • Optimize database schemas, queries and indexes for efficiency
  • Diagnose and resolve performance bottlenecks; implement caching and load balancing
  • Ensure backend security against common threats (SQL injection, XSS, etc.)
  • Collaborate with frontend, DevOps and product teams
  • Mentor junior developers and ensure coding best practices
  • Develop and run unit, integration and performance tests
  • Monitor systems, troubleshoot issues and maintain uptime reliability
Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Python, Java, Go or Rust
  • Strong experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Expertise in RESTful and GraphQL API design
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and CI/CD pipelines
  • Solid understanding of Git, version control and branching strategies
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with distributed systems and event-driven architectures
  • Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, Memcached
  • Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform / Ansible
  • Exposure to frameworks such as Django, Flask, Spring Boot, Go Micro
