Job Title: Data Insights Specialist

The ideal candidate will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely statistical deliverables, developing and presenting statistically sound models using current standard programs and techniques. They will also translate clients' needs into project plans and develop strong working relationships with key people in other departments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurate data modeling processing includes, but is not limited to, accuracy, accountability for on-time delivery of all statistical deliverables, conducting small to medium-scale projects through all stages: concept formulation, definition of metrics, determination of appropriate statistical methodology, research evaluation, and final research report.
• Independently build and present internally statistically sound models using current standard programs.
• Apply industry techniques/ideas/trends to current systems.
• Consult/explain complex statistical ideas to internal clients.
• Translate clients' needs into project plans.
• Able to answer questions about data sets and analyses.
• Becoming familiar with and complying with the group's policies and procedures for programming, project documentation, and system management.
• Mastery of the desktop and UNIX tool set (SAS, SAS ODS, Excel, PowerPoint, Word) to create content for evaluating statistical analyses such as tables, reports, graphs, etc.
• Becoming proficient with different types of quantitative modeling offerings provided by the Analytical group.
• Working with internal departments to troubleshoot a variety of problems.
• Effectively explaining results of troubleshooting.
• Leading statistical training on standard models to other departments.
• Employing sound statistical techniques.
• Managing project deadlines.
• Leading low- to medium-level complexity projects.
• Consulting with other departments on ways to improve systems.
• Developing strong working relationships with key people in other departments.
• Providing statistical training to stats department.
• Able to write new Python code, improve current code, and understand all code being used.
• On-Time Delivery.
• Keeping Onshore updated on the status of all Models in progress.
• Monitoring and documenting progress of the job through Jira system.
• Responsible for managing your own workload to ensure on-time delivery; may require securing help from others at times.
• Working with the Account Specialist and Sales to troubleshoot stalled jobs due to incorrect or missing information in a timely manner.
• Dealing with ambiguity while maintaining composure and problem-solving under tight deadlines.
• Ensuring successful completion and publishing of all Model requests.
• Effective Teams.
• Building rapport within team and across department.
• Providing timely information to internal customers providing necessary information to make accurate and quality decisions.
• Making arrangements within the team for backup to complete all outstanding jobs before leaving on PTO, and communicating handoff to AS.
• Assisting teammates as needed to ensure the department as a whole meets its obligation to internal and external customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters degree in Statistics/Economics.
• 0-2 years prior experience with data analysis or modeling with large transactional databases.
• Good exposure in statistical/data analytics field.
• Good exposure conducting original research.
• Experience/project in python/SAS etc. environment is desired.
