Database Administrator - Enterprise Cloud Services

We are seeking a seasoned Database Administrator to drive continuous improvement in our Enterprise Cloud Services program. As a critical member of our team, you will play a key role in increasing operation, availability, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operation, availability, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure landscape re-architecture and adopt new technologies.
  • Develop and maintain high-availability and disaster-recovery strategies for database systems.
  • Optimize system performance through tuning and configuration.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for database installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of backup and recovery strategies.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of documentation for day-to-day operations.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure seamless delivery of services.

Requirements:

  • 6-10 years of experience as a Database Administrator in Global Operations teams, primarily on SAP HANA and ASE Database Platforms.
  • Experience with automation tools/scripting or processes for DB installations and upgrades, planning, setup, and implementation.
  • Technical expertise in optimizing and tuning systems, performance optimization, and security.
  • In-depth knowledge of database concepts, including security, backup and recovery strategies, performance tuning, system copies, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Ability to organize and structure day-to-day documentation.
  • SAP Basis knowledge is preferred, and additional experience working in Public Cloud domains like Microsoft Azure, AWS, and GCP is an asset.
