Job Title

Key Responsibilities :

This role involves designing and developing scalable database solutions to meet business needs. It requires optimizing and tuning existing programs, as well as developing new routines.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in architecting and designing database environments, analyzing complex distributed production deployments, and making recommendations to optimize performance.

Additionally, the successful applicant will work closely with programming teams to deliver high-quality software, propose innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems, and mentor junior developers.

They will also be responsible for performing administration tasks, including DB resource planning and DB tuning, and providing optimal design of database environments.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

  • Experience in designing/architecting database solutions
  • Expertise in multiple RDBMS and NoSQL databases of TB data size preferably Oracle, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, and Graph DB
  • Strong knowledge in PL/SQL and PostgreSQL and strong query optimization skills
  • Expert knowledge in DB installation, configuration, replication, upgradation, security, and HADR setup
  • Experience in database deployment, performance, and troubleshooting issues
  • Knowledge of scripting languages such as Unix, shell, PHP
  • Advanced knowledge of PostgreSQL is preferred
  • Experience working with Cloud Platforms and Services
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Experience with big data technologies and DWH is a plus
