Job Title: Construction Estimator

  • Prepare and manage capital cost estimates.
  • Provide advice on building economics, tendering procedures, and contract arrangements.
  • Draft contract packages including amendments to standard forms.
  • Develop pricing documents for tender packages.
  • Offer guidance on tendering procedures.
  • Draft instructions to tenderers.
  • Establish tender evaluation criteria.
  • Draft PQQ questionnaires.
  • Evaluate all tender submissions and negotiate with tenderers.
  • Ascertain amounts due to contractors for price variation.
  • Determine claim amounts.
  • Presentation and submission of monthly Cost Reports.

Requirements:

  • Mechanical/Electrical Engineering degree acceptable with 5-10 years' experience.
  • Strong understanding of the QS & cost management processes to quantify drawings.
  • Chartered QS under a recognized organization such as RICS, SCSI, AIQS, NZIQS etc.
  • IT literacy and proficiency with MS Office.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to work rapidly and accurately under pressure.
  • Able to coordinate with other staff and departments across Global offices located in the US.
  • An organized self-starter attentive to detail and able to work independently.
