Job Title: Quality Assurance Automation Specialist

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced testing professional to lead our quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of manual testing and a passion for transitioning into automated testing.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement test automation frameworks using tools like Playwright or Cypress to ensure efficient and scalable testing processes.
  • Mentor junior team members in learning test automation practices while maintaining strong manual testing skills.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive test cases, executing tests while transitioning suitable tests to automated scripts.
  • Collaborate with the development team to integrate automation efforts with CI/CD pipelines and ensure product quality and functionality.
  • Drive best practices in test automation, ensuring test scripts are efficient, scalable, and reusable.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of manual testing experience, including strong knowledge of test planning, test case creation, and defect management.
  • Experience with test management tools like Jira, TestRail, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
  • Passion for learning test automation and willingness to take on new challenges in the automation space.
Desired Skills:
  • Prior experience transitioning from manual testing to test automation and understanding the challenges and best practices involved.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI) and integrating automated tests.
  • Knowledge of BDD (Behavior-Driven Development) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow) a plus.
