Job Title: Head of Advanced Automotive Lighting and Signaling

We are seeking a visionary leader to spearhead the development of cutting-edge automotive lighting and signaling systems. As Head of Advanced Automotive Lighting and Signaling, you will be responsible for driving innovation and ensuring the successful integration of these systems into our products.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of lighting technologies, including LED, OLED, Laser, Matrix/Adaptive Lighting, and Digital/Projection Lighting. They will also possess strong knowledge of optics, photometry, electronics, and software-defined lighting systems.

About the Role
  • Develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned with business goals
  • Lead global R&D programs for headlamps, tail lamps, DRLs, indicators, interior illumination, and ambient lighting
  • Drive innovation in smart and connected signaling systems (e.g., communication through lighting for ADAS & autonomous vehicles)
Key Responsibilities
  • Define and implement the technology strategy for lighting & signaling systems
  • Anticipate industry trends and develop a long-term roadmap for interior and exterior lighting and signaling technologies
  • Oversee prototype development, validation, and industrialization
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, Optoelectronics, Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Master's degree / PhD in Automotive Engineering, Optics, or Applied Physics preferred
  • Additional certifications in Automotive Standards, Quality Systems, or Technology Management is an advantage
Skills and Qualifications
  • Deep knowledge of lighting technologies
  • Strong understanding of optics, photometry, electronics, and software-defined lighting systems
  • Expertise in signal and safety systems (turn indicators, brake lights, communication via lighting)
