Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-quality software using software engineering principles and best practices.
  • Emphasize first-time-right quality, automation, reusability, maintainability, and secure coding.
  • Create holistic designs for development using Test-Driven Development to ensure reusability & extensibility.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to estimate, create timelines, and design features/epics.
  • Implement architectural and design principles to improve performance, capacity, and scalability.
  • Work independently in a SAFe Agile model to ensure end-business & performance goals are met.
  • Drive conversations with stakeholders to ensure software meets business objectives and is delivered with highest quality.
  • Participate in code reviews and suggest fixes for defects/design issues.
  • Ensure timely delivery of product features according to the Product Roadmap.
  • Support issue analysis/triaging, provide fixes during test phases, and resolve production issues.
  • Ensure thorough unit testing and participate in component transition to testers.
  • Present features in product demos to a wider audience/customer.

Requirements:

  • Self-driven, highly motivated, outcome-focused individual with ownership of technical designs, code development, and component test execution.
  • First-time-right quality mindset, prefers automation over manual tasks, strives for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and solve issues before they escalate.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to stay focused on completing tasks within a busy workspace.
  • Willingsness to work across time zones and with remote teams.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java/.Net/Oracle/SQL and web services software architecture and design (REST/SOAP).
  • Experience with cloud applications, including DevOps, Deployment, Jenkins, Jira.
  • Knowledge of RESTful Webservices & API framework, OAS3 APIs.

Additional Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master's degree a plus.
  • Experience with Agile Development practices and processes.
  • Experience with Majesco Platforms/Products is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in developing packaged software (Products) in banking, insurance, or financial services areas.
