The Role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join our Backend Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving technical initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and delivering high-quality results under pressure.

Responsibilities

As a Technical Lead, you will be responsible for owning technical execution for backend and frontend modules, leading delivery across the team, and ensuring high reliability and performance across mission-critical components.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing with precision: Own technical execution for backend and frontend modules and lead delivery across the team.
  • Scaling smartly: Enhance and evolve existing backend systems with scalable architecture patterns and thoughtful refactoring—not rewrites for the sake of it.
  • Driving backend excellence: Architect high-performance services using Java and Spring Boot, built for scale and uptime.
  • Enabling observability: Work closely with DevOps to ensure production readiness with robust monitoring and alerting practices on AWS.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally: Partner with technical peers, product managers, and occasionally with customer-facing teams to ensure alignment of business and tech priorities.
  • Mentoring and leading: Grow backend engineering capabilities by providing clear guidance, thoughtful code reviews, and proactive problem-solving.

Requirements

We are looking for an exceptional Technical Lead who possesses:

  • 7-10 years of backend experience, with recent hands-on development in Java and Spring Boot.
  • Proven experience building and scaling systems to handle high throughput, low latency, and event-driven architecture.
  • Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure components: EC2, S3, RDS, SQS, VPC, and more.
  • Familiarity with DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, and performance tuning.
