Job Overview:

Data privacy specialists play a vital role in safeguarding organizations against data protection risks.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead and manage global data privacy and protection programs for clients.
  • Design and implement policies, procedures, and frameworks to mitigate data privacy risks.
  • Conduct Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA) and Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) for new projects and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to embed privacy requirements into business operations.
  • Manage incident response and breach management according to global privacy standards.
  • Develop training programs and awareness sessions for clients and internal teams.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for senior leadership and client stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Oversee large-scale data privacy transformation initiatives across multiple geographies.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to CXOs and senior stakeholders on data privacy strategies and risk mitigation.
  • Provide technical guidance and lead a team of consultants and analysts.
  • Drive innovation in data privacy operations, automation, and GRC integration to enhance compliance efficiency.

Required Skills:

  • 6+ years of experience for manager role; 9+ years for senior manager role.
  • Expertise in data privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance.
  • Hands-on experience with DPIA, PIA, consent management, and cross-border data transfers.
  • In-depth understanding of regulations such as GDPR, DIFC, ADGM, CCPA, and Indian DPDP Act.
  • Exposure to privacy technologies and GRC platforms is desirable.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, project leadership, and communication skills.

Desirable Certifications:

  • CIPT, CIPP/E, CIPP/A, CDPSE, ISO 27701 LA or equivalent certifications are an added advantage.
