Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cash Application Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cash application team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of customer payments.

Your primary duties will include:

  • Reconciling account receivables and remittances
  • Collaborating with customer and stakeholder teams to identify customer requirements and provide solutions
  • Preparing end-of-day reports such as daily collections and bank reconciliations
  • Performing periodic audits of the general ledger and other financial documents
  • Addressing payment issues such as double payments or other discrepancies
  • Processing refunds internally and externally

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also engage in collection management processes as necessary and perform month-end closing of current AR periods and opening of new periods.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent relevant courses
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls
  • 3+ years of proven experience in a cash applications or similar role
  • Excellent skills in investigating/researching payment history/details
  • Knowledge of billing procedures and collections
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
