DeepTech Investment Professional

As a DeepTech investment professional, you will play a pivotal role in sourcing and researching emerging startups. Your responsibilities will include identifying high-potential ventures, building relationships with incubators and investors, conducting market landscaping and sector mapping, and tracking trends in science-based innovation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Sourcing & Research: Identify DeepTech startups, build relationships with technology incubators and bankers, conduct market landscaping, sector mapping, pipeline development, and track trends in science-based innovation.
  • Due Diligence: Evaluate technology readiness, business models, IP, founder-market fit, support technical and commercial due diligence, prepare investment memos, and present findings to the investment committee.
  • Portfolio Support: Work with founders to track milestones, financials, fundraising readiness, assist in building post-investment value creation plans, coordinate with incubators, labs, and academic networks for technical support.
  • Fund Operations: Support investment documentation and compliance, maintain internal databases, assist in preparing presentations for LPs, partners, and ecosystem engagements.

Our ideal candidate has a mix of technical depth and financial capability, preferably with a degree in science, engineering, finance, economics, or business. They should have strong analytical, research, and communication skills, understanding of finance, financial modeling, and valuation skills, experience or interest in DeepTech sectors, prior exposure to VC, private equity, investment banking, or startup ecosystems, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a proactive, resourceful mindset.
