Job Overview:

Mobile App Release Manager Position

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mobile App Release Manager to lead our mobile app release process.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing complex releases, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving process improvements.

This role requires strong project management, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Release Management: Own the release calendar and manage end-to-end release processes for mobile apps on iOS and Android.
  • OTA Releases: Coordinate and execute over-the-air (OTA) releases using tools like Code Push or custom delivery systems, ensuring hotfixes and incremental updates reach users without requiring app store resubmissions.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrate creativity and take initiative in solving complex problems that arise during the release process.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with engineering, QA, product management, partner teams, and other stakeholders to define release scope and deliverables.
  • Release Documentation: Create and maintain release documentation, release notes, and deployment guides to ensure transparency and consistency across the organization.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • Mobile App Release Experience: 5+ years managing mobile app releases or coordinating mobile deployments across iOS and Android platforms.
  • App Store Connect and Google Play Console: 5+ years of hands-on experience using App Store Connect and Google Play Console for release coordination.
  • Jenkins and CICD Tools: 3+ years of exposure to Jenkins or similar continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD) tools.
  • GitHub UI and Version Control: 2+ years working with GitHub UI, release branching workflows, and basic version control concepts.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Feature Flag Tools: Familiarity with feature flag tools and managing staged rollouts across mobile populations.
  • Mobile Analytics and Crash Monitoring: Understanding of mobile analytics, crash monitoring, and performance observability tools.
