Mobile App Release Manager Position

This senior manager role involves overseeing the release calendar and managing end-to-end mobile app deployment on iOS and Android platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Owning and managing the release process for mobile apps on both operating systems.
  • Coordinate and execute over-the-air releases using Code Push or similar tools, ensuring hotfixes and incremental updates reach users without requiring re-submission to app stores.
  • Demonstrating initiative in resolving complex problems through creative solutions.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, product management, QA, and stakeholders to define release scope and deliverables.
  • Managing build submissions, version control, and deployments through Apple and Google's respective app store consoles.
  • Monitoring pre-release testing and ensuring all test cases are covered and resolved.
  • Ensuring compliance with platform policies and requirements.
  • Documenting and maintaining release information, notes, and guides.
  • Communicating release status and issues to leadership and teams.
  • Conducting post-release reviews to improve future cycles and capture learnings.
  • Managing emergency releases as needed.
  • Driving process improvements for automation, testing, and coordination.
  • Tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs).
