Release Management Expert

We are seeking a seasoned Release Management Expert to own the release calendar and manage the end-to-end release process for mobile apps on iOS and Android.

The ideal candidate will collaborate with engineering, QA, product management, partner teams, and other stakeholders to define release scope and deliverables.

Responsibilities:
  • Owning the release calendar and managing the end-to-end release process for mobile apps on iOS and Android.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define release scope and deliverables.
  • Coordinating build submissions, version control, and deployment through App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
  • Monitoring and managing pre-release testing to ensure compliance with Apple and Google policies and requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining release documentation, release notes, and deployment guides.
  • Communicating release status, issues, and risks to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Driving process improvements for release automation, testing, and coordination.
  • Proactively communicating status and issues to their manager.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • 5+ years managing mobile app releases or coordinating mobile deployments across iOS and Android platforms.
  • ~5+ years of hands-on experience using App Store Connect and Google Play Console for release coordination.
  • ~2+ years managing OTA deployments using tools like Microsoft Code Push or Expo OTA.
  • Strong project management, cross-functional coordination, and stakeholder communication skills.
  • A deep understanding of submission guidelines for iOS and Android platforms.
  • An understanding of mobile analytics, crash monitoring, and performance observability tools (Sentry, Dynatrace).
  • Experience creating release documentation, playbooks, and managing test case coverage via tools like TestRail.
  • Comfortable working in Jira, Confluence, and other agile planning and reporting platforms.
