Technical Procurement Specialist

This is a specialized role for someone who can coordinate effectively with supervisors to ensure timely delivery of technical spare parts and repair services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with superintendents to guarantee efficient supply chain management.
  • Oversee purchasing activities, including arranging logistics to transport spares to vessels.
  • Send inquiries to suppliers worldwide for quotations on various services, such as navigation equipment maintenance, underwater inspections, and hull cleaning.
  • Collaborate with vessels to gather information required for requisitions.
  • Follow up with quotations from suppliers.
  • Prepare purchase orders, delivery orders, proforma invoices, and packing lists.
  • Assist in logistics arrangements, including air freight, sea freight, land transport, and sea transport.
  • Communicate with agents and ships to supply spare parts and repair services at convenient ports.
  • Process invoices by verifying vendor invoices against quotations and ensuring timely processing within credit term periods.
  • Document filing and printing of invoices.
  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager or superintendents.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in technical procurement.
  • Must have experience in spares stores services and technical procurement.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are required.
