Job Title: Technical Strategist & Quality Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technical Strategist & Quality Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in technical leadership, strategy, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership & Strategy: Lead and manage all Technical Services, Quality Control, and Product Development activities.
  • Define and Implement Technical Strategies: Define and implement technical strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to international quality and industry standards (API, ISO, ASTM, etc.).

Quality Control & Assurance:

  • Oversee Quality Systems: Oversee quality systems across manufacturing units, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor Testing Protocols: Monitor and evaluate testing protocols for steel pipes, coatings, welding, and NDT.
  • Ensure Traceability & Integrity: Ensure traceability and integrity of inspection, testing, and certification processes.

New Product Development & Innovation:

  • Drive Innovation: Drive innovation in materials, processes, and product designs.
  • R&D Efforts: Lead R&D efforts for new products catering to Oil & Gas industry applications.
  • Hydrogen- Compatible Products: Explore and develop hydrogen-compatible products, including collaboration with H₂ labs.

Metallurgical Expertise:

  • Troubleshooting: Apply advanced metallurgical knowledge for troubleshooting, process optimization, and material selection.
  • Technical Issues: Analyze and resolve technical issues related to steel properties, fabrication, and performance.

Client & Vendor Management:

  • Primary Technical Contact: Act as the primary technical contact for key clients, ensuring timely resolution of technical queries and issues.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Collaborate with vendors for quality assurance, technical compliance, and process enhancements.
  • Technical Inputs: Provide technical inputs for tenders, proposals, and customer specifications.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Statutory Compliance: Ensure compliance with statutory, industry, and customer-specific requirements.
  • Emerging Standards: Keep abreast of emerging standards, technologies, and best practices in the Oil & Gas and hydrogen energy sectors.
