Cloud Database Specialist Job

This position involves managing and monitoring databases hosted on cloud platforms, ensuring seamless performance and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud-hosted databases, including Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, and Cloud SQL.
  • Monitor database performance using cloud-native tools and troubleshoot basic database issues with guidance from senior DBAs.
  • Ensure data security by implementing backup and recovery processes.
  • Support migration of databases to the cloud from on-premises systems.
  • Collaborate with development teams for database-related needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform (AWS / Azure / GCP) and their database offerings.
  • Knowledge of database backup, restore, and disaster recovery fundamentals.
  • Awareness of database security best practices.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Cloud certifications will be an added advantage.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
