Their one of the most successful initiatives is AMRIT (Accessible Medical Records via Integrated Technologies), a first-of-its-kind integrated health technology platform that supports clinical excellence for over 2 Cr beneficiaries.

The Database Administrator will be responsible for managing and maintaining DBC's core databases that power platforms like AMRIT. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, security, and reliability of databases while supporting day-to-day operations, deployments, and data-driven decision-making.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing, optimizing, and troubleshooting database systems to support healthcare delivery at scale
  • Installing, configuring, upgrading, and maintaining relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) both on-premises and on cloud (AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, GCP Cloud SQL)
  • Monitoring database performance and tuning queries, indexes, and configurations to ensure optimal response times using tools like CloudWatch, Performance Insights, Grafana, or pgAdmin
  • Ensuring data security, integrity, backup, and recovery processes are in place and regularly tested
  • Automating routine database maintenance and deployment tasks using CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, or AWS-native services
  • Troubleshooting database-related issues in production and non-production environments
  • Collaborating with developers to design efficient database schemas, optimize queries, and implement best practices for scalable cloud-based applications
