Electronics Development Lead

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Development Lead to drive PCBA risk mitigation strategies and execute projects for electronics commodities at the product level.

  • This involves technical delivery of all electrical and electronics-related projects, reviewing designs and concepts from the team to ensure technical quality.
  • You will own and implement technically sophisticated projects from scoping to implementation.
  • A good understanding of compliance requirements is necessary, as you will support product regulatory compliance testing.
  • You should be proficient in synthesizing specifications of electronic components into product fitment.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, participate in system/subsystem design reviews, and finalize electronics design requirements by reviewing with systems and global engineering teams.
  • Designing schematic diagrams of digital, mixed-signal, and power electronics circuit boards that meet design requirements.
  • A high level of agility to work on multiple simultaneous projects, tasks, and programs to suit business needs.
  • Providing plan A and plan B, driving design options and trade-off analysis meeting diverse product requirements.
  • Building design documents for design reviews (HLD, DFMEA, requirements traceability matrix etc.) and verification plans mapping to key performance and reliability requirements.
  • Verifying design performance qualifying requirements, meeting manufacturability and serviceability, and achieving cost/reliability targets.
  • Collaborating with multi-domain teams to assist product development meeting regulatory, safety, environmental, reliability, thermal, and interface standard (Ethernet, USB, etc.) compliance requirements.
  • Working with sourcing teams and suppliers to coordinate manufacturing and provide detailed requirements for FCT of PCBA to ensure the PCBA from production meets design requirements.
  • Mentoring and enhancing the technical capabilities of team members.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent understanding of electrical and electronics engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to drive decisions through design and simulation tools. Mentor different tools and intend with hands-on experience.
  • Can conceptualize design architectures and identify challenges in designs.
  • Applies self-learning to derive component functioning.
  • Independently conceptualizes and runs design calculations to prove design.
  • Collaborates and drives concepts, trade-off analysis, and leads component selection to meet technical specifications.
  • Leads and drives design analysis and simulation ensuring design optimization and confirmation to requirements.
  • Conducts testing as per test plans (including functional and regulatory test cases). Records test results.
  • Captures schematic based on design documents and input.
