Job Title: Senior Accountant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and verification of purchase and sales bills, matching with purchase orders, invoices, and supplementary bills.
  • Cash control, voucher preparation, and daily transaction entries in accounting books and enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Creditor management and vendor payments via national electronic funds transfer and real-time gross settlement systems.
  • Handling letter of credit documentation and liaisoning with bankers for daily operations.
  • Preparation of monthly bank reconciliation statements.
  • Salary and wages computation, maintaining salary and attendance registers.
  • Monthly stock statements preparation for banks under cash credit facilities.
  • Assistance in finalizing accounts, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Drafting official letters related to accounts and statutory matters.
  • Preparation of management information system reports.

Statutory Compliances:

  • Income Tax: Computing and paying tax deducted at source, e-filing returns, issuing form 16/16A, computing advance tax, and filing income tax returns.
  • GST: Registering, amending, generating challans, filing GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B, annual returns, claiming refunds, conducting audits, and issuing electronic way bills.
  • Pension and Employees' State Insurance: Monthly contributions, generating unique account numbers, transferring or withdrawing amounts, and registering employees under pension and ESI schemes.
  • Legacy Compliance: Filing VAT/CST, excise duty, reconciliations, and audit support.

Analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple statutory timelines are required.
