Database Developer

">Job Description:
  • Key Responsibilities:
    • MySQL Expertise: Proficient in MySQL Enterprise Versions, Upgrades & Patching.
    • Migration Specialist: Hands-on experience on migration from MySQL to MariaDB and vice-versa.
    • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Configuring & troubleshooting of MySQL Enterprise Monitor (MEM), Oracle Enterprise Monitor (OEM)
    • Backup and Recovery: Strong hold on MySQL Enterprise backups & logical backups (mysqldump/mysqlpump)
    • InnoDB Cluster and Replication: InnoDB Cluster & Master-Slave replication configurations & troubleshooting, MySQL Enterprise Audit, Encryption & keyring
    • High Availability Tools: Open source HA tools like keepalived/tungstun
    • Performance Optimization: Collaborate with team to develop high performance database functionalities; should be able to resolve MySQL Performance Issues
    • Cloud Experience: Extensive exposure to public cloud (AWS/Azure) to provide solutions and troubleshoot issues
    Required Skills:
    • Primary Skills:
      • MariaDB and NoSQL: Knowledge of MariaDB & NoSQL database will be an added advantage
      • Data Management: Good understanding of data management (e.g. permissions, recovery, security and monitoring)
      • Organization and Performance: Ensure all database programs meet organization & performance requirements
      • User and Space Management: User management, space management & shell scripting
      • Coordination and Communication: Close coordination & planning with Client & Project sub-teams
      • International Communication: Good communication skills to work with foreign clients

      • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
