Job Title:

Senior Database Solutions Architect

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Solutions Architect to lead our database strategy and implementation.

  • Monitor database logs and event files for errors indicating incidents
  • Maintain DR database availability and monitor log replication
  • Report on log replication status as per agreed schedules
  • Session/Query/Log/Latch monitoring and DB failure detection
  • Purge database logs and trace files, review configurations and maintain consistency
  • Review and recommend measures to maintain availability
  • Generate monthly reports on database availability
  • Respond to database-related incidents and drive corrective action
  • Tune DB parameters and correlate incidents into problem tickets
  • Use trend analysis to identify and manage problems
  • Restore databases and support L2 teams for critical issues
  • Handle DB performance-related issues and end-to-end major incidents
  • Create jobs and schedules for routine maintenance and rebuild indexes
  • Defragment databases and perform performance tuning
  • Manage service requests through change management and automate administration tasks
  • Update database environment documentation and ensure DB server availability
