We're seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Management Trainee, Accounts Payable. As a subject matter expert in finance and accounting, you'll play a critical role in identifying and implementing AP improvements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Calculating and posting business transactions, processing invoices, and verifying financial data for maintaining accounts payable records
  • Reviewing invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval
  • Verifying and calculating all extensions and totals on invoices, including discounts when applicable
  • Checking vendor files for previous payments and assigning voucher numbers
  • Preparing vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount, and coding per accounting policies and procedures
  • Identifying and implementing AP improvements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Commerce Graduate
  • Relevant experience in accounts payable process
  • Excellent SME knowledge of accounting concepts
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
  • ERP knowledge like SAP or PeopleSoft is an added advantage
