Property Acquisition Associate

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Property Acquisition Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying potential locations for new retail stores through market research and analysis, conducting site visits to assess property suitability, and supporting senior managers in negotiating lease terms.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential locations for new retail stores, evaluating local demographics, footfall potential, and competitive landscapes.
  2. Assess property suitability through site visits, considering factors such as location, accessibility, and visibility.
  3. Prepare basic reports with key findings and recommendations for shortlisted properties.
  4. Support senior managers in negotiating lease terms, rental agreements, or purchase contracts with landlords or brokers.
  5. Coordinate follow-ups with property owners or agents, ensuring timely completion of agreements.
  6. Work closely with legal and finance teams to compile and review documents related to property acquisition and agreements.
  7. Maintain updated records of property details, contracts, and approvals.
  8. Build relationships with brokers, agents, and developers to stay informed about new property listings.
  9. Coordinate and manage broker communications and property inquiries.
  10. Assist in ensuring all legal, zoning, and regulatory requirements are met for selected properties.
  11. Support in obtaining necessary permits and approvals in coordination with relevant teams.
  12. Prepare regular updates and summaries on property acquisition progress for the team or management.
  13. Provide feedback on challenges and opportunities during the acquisition process.

Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of real estate laws and property regulations.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
