HVAC Design Engineer Role

Our organization is seeking a skilled HVAC Design Engineer to create accurate working drawings for commercial and light industrial buildings. This role involves creating detailed designs that meet project standards and coordinate with civil, architectural, electrical, plumbing, and fire-fighting layouts.

The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of HVAC design, familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence requirements, proficiency in HVAC calculations and software, and good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create detailed HVAC working drawings per project standards.
  2. Coordinate with various disciplines to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  3. Resolve technical issues with site teams.
  4. Maintain ISO documentation and drawing logs.
  5. Support quantity take-offs and drawing approvals.
  6. Monitor productivity and assist in QA/QC processes.
  7. Identify additional work and inform the Project Manager.
  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  1. Strong knowledge of HVAC design (chillers, AHUs, VAVs, FCUs, ventilation, smoke control).
  2. Familiarity with GCC codes and Civil Defence requirements.
  3. Proficient in HVAC calculations and software (e.g., HAP).
  4. Knowledge of Revit, Navisworks is an advantage.
  5. Good communication, coordination, and documentation skills.
  6. Understanding of related MEP systems.
  7. B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
  8. HVAC training certification is preferred.
