Accessibility Job Description

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to build software that is accessible and satisfying for users with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product teams to improve the accessibility of their products.
  • Develop and execute accessibility evaluation plans, gather requirements, organize data, and document steps.
  • Perform testing applicable to policies, standards, laws, and submit issues with designers and developers in team.
  • Identify issues negatively impacting users with disabilities, partner with cross-functional organizations to maintain guidance for emerging technologies.
  • Provide technical consultation and expertise to support product teams implementing accessibility standards and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience with assistive technology, accessibility checking tools, cross-functional teams, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent problem-solving, people management, and collaboration skills.
  • Knowledge of accessibility guidelines, standards (WCAG), best practices, and assistive technology tools.
  • Ability to develop, understand, and apply domain-specific knowledge to complete work and support organizational priorities.
  • Passion for accessibility and advocating for people with disabilities.
