**Program Manager Role Overview**

Our organization is seeking a skilled Program Manager to lead our field operations and oversee Program Associates. The ideal candidate will have experience managing day-to-day operations, leading teams, and ensuring timely data entry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Management:
    • People management: Manage 3+ Program Associates to achieve the program's intended outcomes.
    • Project management: Supervise the implementation of protocols and experiments to ensure their successful execution.
    • Data review: Ensure accurate and timely data entry by Program Associates to maintain data integrity.
    • Audits: Conduct regular audits and quality control to guarantee adherence to established protocols.
  • Farmer Engagement:
    • Relationship building: Foster and maintain strong relationships with ARA farmers to support their growth and success.
    • Farm information maintenance: Regularly collect and update farm information, including stocking, harvest, and other relevant details.
    • Field presence: Spend at least 50% of your time in the field engaging with ARA staff, farmers, and other stakeholders to build trust and understanding.
  • Scaling and Strategic Assistance:
    • Ground-truthing: Provide valuable insights during strategic meetings with leadership to inform decision-making.
    • Expansion: Lead the process of enrolling new farms in the ARA program to expand its reach and impact.

Required Criteria:

  • Nationality: You must have the right to work in India.
  • Experience with field programs: At least 1 year of experience managing field programs in development, environmental protection, or animal advocacy sectors.
  • Language: Fluency in oral and written Telugu and English.
  • Location: Full-time presence in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh required, with extensive field work in surrounding villages.
  • Transportation: Ability to drive a motorbike or scooter on rural roads.

Ideal Criteria:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or greater in Fisheries, Aquaculture, Social Sciences, or related sciences.
  • Technical expertise: Previous experience with water quality analysis and management in aquaculture is beneficial.
