We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to manage and maintain our cloud-based data infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing scalable database systems for large datasets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain high-performance cloud-based data environments using AWS services such as Redshift and RDS.
  • Develop and implement efficient database solutions for complex data processing tasks.
  • Ensure data integrity and security through regular backups, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy new applications and services.
  • Maintain expertise in SQL, Linux shell scripting, and Python programming languages.
  • Analyze and resolve complex database issues using problem-solving skills and technical documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to improve system performance and efficiency.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning, testing, and implementation.
  • Document system configurations, upgrades, and changes for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration, with a focus on cloud-based systems.
  • Expert-level knowledge of SQL, Linux shell scripting, and Python programming languages.
  • Familiarity with AWS services such as Redshift, RDS, and S3.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
