Job Description

This role is with a leading independent transformer manufacturing company in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in operations management, with a proven track record of improving efficiency and achieving results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review sales requests and coordinate with the sales team on all activities.
  • Build client relationships and understand client requirements.
  • Deliver technical presentations to clients and internal teams.
  • Milestone mapping of activity from customer PO date to kick-off meeting.
  • Inventory monitoring and management.
  • Ownership of business processes and providing guidance to the team.
  • Interpreting corporate vision and strategy.
  • Translating objectives into actionable plans and providing decisive leadership to multi-functional teams.
  • Oversee all aspects of plant activities, ensuring operations are efficient and production targets are met.
  • Experience in transformer manufacturing or electrical equipment is strongly preferred.
  • Oversight of the design and installation of new manufacturing lines.
  • Demonstrated P&L management and control.
  • Build associate engagement by championing cultural values.
  • Ensure contractor plant machinery and equipment are maintained to the highest standards.
  • Maintain the highest quality standards in all products produced.
  • Foster a culture of safety within the organization.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes and systems.
  • Oversee the training and development of staff.
  • Manage production scheduling and inventory control.
  • Ensure timely and accurate shipping of products.
  • Lead staffing efforts, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
  • Collaborate with sales, engineering, and supply chain departments.
  • Represent the organization in corporate meetings and discussions.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Significant experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment.
  • Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control, and supply chain management.
  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, and financial management skills.
  • Exceptional servant leadership and team management skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and engage at all levels.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office suite and MS project.
