Key Roles of a Demand Planner

The demand planner plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth flow of products from manufacturers to customers. To achieve this goal, they must be skilled at planning and coordinating daily operations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating channel and category level inputs with supply plans to ensure seamless product delivery.
  • Monitoring and managing top line and trade margin levels across all channels to maintain optimal sales figures.
  • Developing and implementing strategies to sustain return on sales (ROS) for all repeat purchase styles.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders to analyze visibility funnels and implement corrective actions.
  • Working closely with channel partners and account managers to review actual performance against set targets.
  • Planning, executing, and optimizing promotional activities during major events to drive sales growth.

Requirements:

  1. 2-4 years of experience in e-commerce sales or a related field.
  2. A strong educational background in supply chain management or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in supply chain management.
  • Experience working with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
