Senior Credit Risk Specialist

A credit underwriter will review and assess a wide range of complex loan applications within defined guidelines, making decisions or recommending approval to higher authorities as needed.
- The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of rational behind calculation of ratios and its impact on loan performance over long tenures.
- Maintaining Portfolio MIS, Delinquency MIS, and other operations related MIS of the cluster is essential.
- Building effective relationships with third parties and leveraging industry knowledge and experience to overcome challenges are key skills.
- Exceeding service quality standards and striving for continuous process improvement is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review mortgage business proposals and manage portfolios in assigned branches/locations.
- Underwrite proposals based on laid-down policies & procedures, honouring SLAs, and managing city/area business volumes.
- Conduct personal discussions with customers to establish credit worthiness and complete credit/KYC documents.
- Assess income to obligation ratios, loan to value ratios, and their impact on loan performance.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Education: Graduate degree; Certifications: CA/MBA (preferable)
