AWS Data Architect Role

Overview of the Position:

We seek a seasoned AWS data architect to spearhead our team's data architecture initiatives. As a senior data engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that leverage AWS-native services.

  • Design comprehensive end-to-end data architectures using Glue, Redshift, Athena, EMR, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, DynamoDB, and RDS.
  • Develop data lakes, data warehouses, and ETL/ELT pipelines aligned with best practices for scalability, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Define and implement data governance, security, access controls, and data lifecycle management within AWS.

Collaboration is key as you will work closely with data engineers, analysts, business stakeholders, and DevOps teams to ensure data solutions align with business objectives. Your expertise in evaluating and recommending new tools and technologies in the AWS ecosystem will facilitate improvements to our data infrastructure.

  • Support data modeling, data integration, and metadata management.
  • Create documentation, architecture diagrams, and data flow diagrams to support ongoing development and operations.
Required Skills and QualificationsKey Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will possess excellent technical skills, strong communication abilities, and experience working in AWS environments.

Desirable Skills:

Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Java, knowledge of big data processing, and experience with data visualization tools are highly desirable.
